Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Tullahoma, Tennessee...and flying machines

One place that Jim had to see on our journey South, was the Beechcraft Heritage Museum. The grounds were so pretty, out in the country, and used by townfolk for walking, cycling, and jogging. Even the corgi kids got into the act, and enjoyed the wide open spaces.
Yep, they have electric hookups for RV's, and the Chairman of the Board asked Jim to come back, camp there, and help bring planes in during their annual "fly in." Jim has always loved planes, and in his twenties, flew them. He misses those days, and like the Red Baron, would love to get back in the saddle and view the world from above.

Visit Beechcraft's Website for the museum, and see what it's all about. Your hubby would love this place. I stayed out in the RV, or played catch with the corgis while Jim perused his passion. Also, Lynchburg, is 10 miles away. It has a nice little historic downtown, full of craft/antique/fudge/coffee shops that women love.
The Staggerwing, is one of Beechcraft's pride and joy. It's famous.

Update: We're parked at a WalMart in Valdosta, Georgia for the night. Jim went in to get a hot, fresh rotiessorie chicken and slaw for supper. We'll put up the antenna and catch the evening news. Ahhhh, these digs are pretty good tonight!

Hope you enjoyed your visit with Chatty - she's been looking forward to the lunch you were having today! Seeing the pics of the airplanes reminded me of the Air Zoo, in Kalamazoo MI. They have many planes on display from WW II, and so many other things - it was pricey to get in to see it, but well worth it! Sounds like you hare having fun!

We want to hear how your visit with Chatty went and we want pictures. I'm glad Jim enjoyed himself and got to see the Airplane Museum. Also did you get pictures of Lynchburg...I've heard it is very pretty.
Have a safe trip.

It sounds like you're having a good trip, we're looking forward to seeing you this weekend. We're looking at a "new" (used) RV this weekend, a Sunnybrook. It would be a nice move up from our pop-up, but the price is right so we're taking a look. A friend of a friend lost her husband, and doesn't want to camp solo so she's selling the Sunnybrook and a Suburban to tow it as a package deal...we'll see how it looks.
