Summing it Up...
Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Vintage Thursday!
I'm finally rejoining the group via Coloradolady's Vintage Thursday meme. I used to be a regular but life got busy for awhile.
This picture hung in my mother's home, our old homeplace on the Tippecanoe River, for more than forty years. She always said that the picture depicted her three children, and the spacing in age looked close to what it is between my brothers and I. My two brothers are five and three years older than me.
I was thrilled that she gave it to me recently. She's been living with my oldest brother for over a year and a half, and has been dispersing her possessions between kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. At 92, it's time to do that. The colors are perfect for our household; and the memories that this framed print holds are priceless!

Love your picture - I have similar ones here :-)
I am so glad you are back!!!!! What a great picture and great memories. How wonderful your mom is deciding who gets what so the people she wants to have things will get them. Have a great VTT!!
Great picture. I've started to give some jewelry to family and friends. Not close to 92, but it is a real pleasure to see people I love enjoying these things now.
I know you were thrilled to receive the picture. Having your mom actually give it to you makes it even more special and the memories that much sweeter.
Everyone should do as your grandmother. It would eliminate a lot of problems later. I loved your pictures.
Lovely memories come along with this picture I'm sure. It is nice that your mother is doing this, my mother did a little of this too.
What a great keepsake your mother gave you! It must mean so much to you!
Lovely picture! My dad is doing the same thing with their things. I've gotten some real treasures!!!
a lovely picture with happy memories for you :)
I love it why my mom or grandma pass things down to me. It's a little bit of childhood hanging in the house!
Lovely print and the frame really sets off the colors! So glad you're back with VTT!

I'm glad your mom gave it to you as you have some personal memories for the photo. It's a beautiful picture with some beautiful memories. Priceless.
Wonderful keepsake - very special!
First, I have to ask - You actually dug up Queen Anne's Lace?!!! Yes, it's beautiful but the seedlings are just too much for my sanity! ('nuf sed)
That's a very nice picture - I'm glad you have it now.
About the enamel pot in your header: did you drill holes in it? If so, with what? Could you email me about this? Thanks! (cherrypie11@verizon.net)
My REDnesday post yesterday was about my re/white enamel pots!
