Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

They were here, now they're gone...

It was great to have the North Carolina kids up north for a few days. It gave us a chance to enjoy little Emmy, daughter April and her hubs, Keith. Uncle Josh always reads Em a story. Of course it was a book about corgis! I always try to have a new one on hand for when we get together.

Emmy likes to help her mommy. Cook, clean, set the table, doesn't matter, she just likes to help. She dusted the television screen while here, and her Grammy appreciated it very much! (Note the cheerleader outfit she has on!) She's such a hoot...she kept us laughing.

Emmy right now is very much into stickers. These happened to be Thomas the Train stickers, a book I gave her during our last visit to NC, in March. Her GG (great-gran), both corgis and Grammy (me) all sported many stickers over the past few days.

She spent the night here last night and slept in the big bed with her Grammy. She's a bed hog...just like her Grammy! We held hands, rubbed feet, and whispered in the dark. Oh my...I miss her already.
Will miss my big girl too. We never have enough time to share all the talks and activities that we want to. Oh well, more reason to start planning a trip south soon, to go see my girls!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! My guess is that you'll need more stickers before you head South!

Aw, even mean olde me thinks that was a sweet post! I guess April has a big semester ahead of her, did the university just start up for the fall?

How nice that Emmy likes to help. She is a true-blue sweetie.

Aren't they just the sweets gifts for Heaven, They make life worth while. Yes you do need to plan a trip and plan it around a special Holiday. Wouldn't it be great to spend Thanksgiving or even Christmas snuggling with your little angel and giggling instead of sleeping while waiting for Santa to arrive.

What a wonderful time you all must have had! I love the pic of little Emmy...how domestic she is...lol! Grammy I could use her help over here! The days are clicking away on the arrival of Jalina Rose...sigh,can't wait! Oh how I wish you guys would take a ride up here...
My internet carrier has had BIG issues all week...it has been driving us crazy! Especially me! So much to post about..and no internet!
Smile...I love all the pics...I would love to see you in a "stickered photo" although the Corgis seem to sport them well!
Hugs for today!

I know just how you feel snuggling with her. Heaven on earth.

Know you would love to be closer to them.

The sticker on the dog - adorable.

And have her clean now - if she's anything like mine (lol) - she'll forget how when she is older.

Love the sticker on the dog picture - what a hoot! I don't think that the dog looks too pleased - but so funny anyways! Yes, I am excited about the opportunity to do some things that I love doing! It feeds the creative side of me, while the serious side has to continue to look for gainful employment! I hope their shop is a big hit - the wife has a full time job, and the husband is unemployed right now, so this gives him something to do to help 'earn his keep'!

I am so glad that you had a wonderful time... So happy for you, but made me miss my Little Bear so BAD! Grands are truly blessings! At least I had my little Great Grand-Pups to love on today.

I started a new blog about two weeks ago and posted about 9/11 Rememberance and my Mom on it today. If you are interested, it is at: http://ocmist-acountrygrammyswalkwithgod.blogspot.com/

I DO wish you lived closer and could share pup holding when you aren't grand-holding. It helps a tiny bit... Linda
