Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Perks for being over 50.....

You all know by now that I'm a regular "senior coffee please" at McDonald's drive through, but today, I stumbled upon a website geared for the lovely gang of us...over 50. It's target is menopausal, scary, forgetful, yet wise and still lovely (after all these years) females. A website for women over the age of FIFTY! It's called Vibrant Nation, and I urge you all to go visit, and see what it has to offer YOU! Oh, and grab your senior coffee before sitting down to peruse their offerings.

Guess I need to go there today....found out I didn't get the job I was after because they wanted 'something different and ---higher energy'...To me that says YOUNGER PERSON! I will go to the website with my bottle of Old Rocking Chair....

cool, it's good to know there are sites set up for everyone--if my mom was more internet savvy, I would tell her to go to it.

Hey there Sista...ya YOU with the senior coffee...Shame on ya...thinking I was brown-nosing the dear Sista Penniwig...going on to win the cookie-cutters...when ACTUALLY I am hoping you win! So there...how do ya feel now?????(giggling)
I hope you almost feel a touch bad...I really want YOU to win! You can just send me the cookies!
Your Jimmy and I are in Ca-hoots hoping you'll win...you'll make up a few dozen of the secret recipe for him and I and I've even whispered to the Corgi Babes that while their Mamma had the flour out she might even make a few "fall" doggie treats!
Well...lol...you might as well go clog up the line at McDonalds some more for your coffee ....now that you've gone and hurt my feelings...and disappointed Jimmy and the corgis! ;)

See, here is how it is: I am turning 51 in four months and I still vehemently am in denial. I think I shall be 50...forever. Just yesterday, I rec'd a card from AARP and I tore up the letter and cut up the card!

And I felt very satisfied.

My husband joyfully buys senior coffee.

I am in constant denial because I'm sure I'm still 35!

Thanks for the good advice though, I'm going to study it in case the time arrives when I need it...LOL!
