Summing it Up...
Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Of course while I am picking them!!! It's kind of like "forbidden fruit"! And the Corgis think so too! They swipe strawberries off the plants every chance they get - and raspberries too!!
I like strawberries anyway I can get them...lol..We don't have much luck growing them so I usually make a trip tp LA to get a flat every Spring. And just pray they make it long enough to make some jam. Usually wind up being ate dipped in sugar...yumm-o.

Emmy Lulu is a doll and I can see why you love strawberries! My mom always served strawberries every chance she got and made a ton of jam. Maybe that's why I don't really care for them but I do make an exception with strawberry ice cream, love it! Now if this was about raspberries or blackberries...
After whipping up a delish batch of fresh ice cream using the strawberries we picked recently, I would have to vote ICE CREAM! Yum!
Emmy is just the cutest lil' berry in the whole patch!!!
There is just no topping your pick!Today the kids and I played with "Magic Sand"..Its really a fun invention, never gets wet, well anyway at one moment I noticed my sons hands..they were so lovely and small and happy as they fiddled with the sand.Sometimes its hard for me to treasure each and every moment..but on days like today..eating strawberries and playing with magic sand, well, there is just nothing better.Enjoy every bite, sweet friend.Cat
Best while picking them!
I love strawberries any way I can get them! They rarely make it long enough to become homemade jam around here. There is a guy that comes from the coast (Santa Maria) where they have bunches of Strawberry farms with the hugest, sweetest strawberries you've ever eaten (don't even need to THINK about dipping in sugar), and we usually try to get them from him... so much better than any from the regular grocery store!
All ways! Eating them while picking them is my very favorite. Dipped in chocolate is my second.
