Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Today...

Worked from 9 to 1 at the library.
Check.
Took dogs to vet for their annual shots, Addie's fat tumor thingie got checked, Jake needs his teeth cleaned sez doc.
Grocery store for MIL and myself.
Check.
Stirred up a big meat loaf, made up a lemonade pie, slid into freezer. Whipped up a bowl of baked spaghetti, all to go into oven tomorrow with a pan of bbq ribs, and hash brown casserole. Cole slaw to be made up in the a.m.
Done.
Company's coming tomorrow for a couple of days. The North Carolina kids are in Indiana, making the rounds to both sides of family, seeing parents, grandparents, aunts/unks, cousins, college pals, and Emmy's great grandparents. It's hard on them to try to give everyone equal time for a few days. Very stressful I would think.
Thursday and Friday are MY days with them. I'm hoping that Emmy Lulu will spend a night here. I'll read her juvenile corgi fiction, what else? We'll look at scrapbooks.

Josh will be here to see his sis and his dear little niece, oh, and his bro-in-law.
Wonder if I made enough food....tried to make every one's favorites.
They don't come for the food...or do they?

Grammy, everything sounds so yummy! Can I come & eat w/y'all?

I think you asked me if the Pops was @ Connor Prairie? no...here in Bloomington. My first time. I had always gone to Connor Prairie before moving here. Before moving here it was only about 40 minutes from my house.
Hug you, Cheryl

Hey Corgidogmama!

All of your food sounds so yummy! Got room for an extra person? hehehe I remember when we lived out of state for 4 years and would come home to visit. It was exhausting and very hard on us and that was before kids.

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting with your family! Don't forget to take lots of pictures!

Hugs,
Angela

What happened about the tumor thing? I still haven't gotten Sissy in to the vet yet for her checking of her own tumor, so I'm wondering what you found out. Hope you have a great time visiting and cooking.....

Has Emmy Lou Who and her entourage left yet? I am so sorry that we did not have enough time to play or that they had to leave before Thing 1 and Thing 2 came down. Maybe next time we can plan a little better. Maybe next time the pond will be finished and have a shelter and trees and picnic table. Maybe.....

Wow! Your menu sounds delicious! I hope that you had a great time with your loved ones. I know how you feel about having to share when they do get a chance to come and visit. My son, Mick, (Kody's dad) doesn't get to spend a lot of time with us when they come down either because my DIL has 5 generations of living relatives plus all the accompanying aunts, uncles, etc. and there are only us and my sisters on our side.

Thurs. is his birthday, so they are coming down on Friday (works Thurs)and I get to see Kody for several hours then. Jenn is having a baby shower in a town an hour or so's drive away on Sat. so we be going to that, but Mick won't be there either... :( I guess I'm totally grateful that I get to see them at least once a month cause the rest of my kids live so far away it's only ever couple of years that I see them.

Oh... and OC's had two of those fatty tumors for over 5 years and they don't seem to bother her. I bit bigger this year. I think it's because the strap that supports her from her wheelchair irritates it a bit.

Y'all come back now...
