Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

A short tour...

Today was almost a perfect fall day. On our sheep run this afternoon, the corgi kids and I spotted an entire yellowed tree. The emerald green cornfields are fading to beige now too. Oh yeah, it's coming...summer is on its way out.

Decided to show you my favorite room in our 720 square foot cottage. It's the craft/guest room, right off our front door. The room is tiny...TiNy! Possibly 9x7 feet. This will give you a 360 view.

The narrow dresser was my payment in lieu of $$ for our booth space in last week's disastrous festival. I love it, more storage too! I saved the top drawer for company to use, the rest are filled with scrappin' junk!

The quilt on the wall, was my second attempt at quilting. I made it in 1988.
Thank heavens you can't see it close up!

You may remember that Jim built this storage wall unit for me several Christmas' ago. It's perfect for my stash, and he really listened to how I wanted it. April, my crafty daughter, sighs and drools when she visits, and asks that it come to her when her mama kicks the bucket. Is that rude or what?

The little green desk with side shelves was a terrific find several years ago. One buck at a yard sale. Thank heavens I have a large car trunk and bungees at the ready!

No craft room is complete without a corgi mascot. Jake keeps my feet warm while I snip and glue. It's nice to have the company.

How nice to get to know you better through this glimpse of your nest! Is this where you blog?

Say, I'm a HUGE fan of small cozy spaces, condos, cars, etc. (5 years later and I'm still grousing that my Camry's too big!)

Gosh, how well-organized a space! I guess you have to be organized if the room is tiny! But it's so nice and neat!

You have a great little Work Room... and so organized, too! I'm the Queen of DISorder! You did a great job of getting things to co-ordinate well, too.

What a great useful room. Love the colors in your quilt and it looks like a very cozy room. I can see why April wants the storage unit. It would be great. Jake knows when he's got it made! Thanks for sharing!

I read your last paragraph wrong - it looked like THIS at first:

No craft room is complete without a corgi mascot. Jake keeps my feet warm while I sniff the glue. It's nice to have the company.

What a lovely little jewel box of a craft space. My whole house is tiny, so I'm very comfortable in teeny spots. I spy a Corgi on the shelf back there. hee hee. If you lived nearby we could spend some time crafting the day away together. xo xo Cat
