Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Getting ready for a RoAdTrIp !

Well gang, we're packing it up, filling up the tanks, and filling the 'fridge...getting ready to leave Monday morning for a couple of weeks on the road to see our southern kids and all the grand kids! We're thrilled, excited, and ready to hit the road; this being most likely, our one big trip for the year. First, we're stopping north of Chattanooga so that Jim can explore the Beechcraft Vintage Museum. He loves planes, used to fly, and is nuts about the old stagger wings and other vintage planes. Then, we're meeting up with Chatty Chrone near Marietta, Georgia at a Cracker Barrel. That should be really fun, to meet a fellow blogger, and converse over coffee instead of pecking away on the keyboard, communicating!
Jim's son and family live in Largo, Florida, and we have four nights at an RV park close to where they live. I hope to use the pool and come home with a tan, dang it!
Jim hasn't seen his son or the grand boy's for over a year, so that should be fun.
We're stopping in Hendersonville, N.C., to visit family. My daughter's family, (Lil' Emmy) live in Chapel Hill, and we have a woodsy spot in a favorite RV campground there. We'll make sure the corgi kids have their Frontline on, and anti-flea pill.
Ticks are absolutely horrendous in North Carolina...such a lovely, tree filled state...tick infested!
Anyway...those are the plans coming up. Hope to get some pics, of the corgi kids en route, and Chatty, and family into the blog as we travel. Our lap top is in the shop, and Best Buy is giving us a loaner for the trip because they "messed up" when we took ours in nearly two weeks ago...and it's still not been worked on.
Jim is very effective in getting things taken care of on the phone. He speaks softly and carries a big stick you might say.
Bon Voyage, Hasta La Vista, we're hitting the road, and getting the ol' Doghouse on Wheels out of mothballs!

We've ordered good weather for you here in Largo- high of 87, no rain (a drought, in fact). Hopefully we'll get to see you while you are here, are you staying at the RV park on Belcher again?

I'm so happy for you it's nothing like seeing your kids and grands, plus getting to enjoy traveling and getting to met a blogging sister, just adds icing to the cake. Be careful and have lots of fun. And get lots of pictures.

I'm so excited about seeing you!!!

This is going to be awesome.

Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic trip - complete with a tan and everything

Wish your hubby would call the restaurant we put the deposit on for my daughter's wedding. 3K! And she wasn't the one who canceled it.

Have fun. :)

This sounds like a fantastic trip...enjoy. You know what? I had the same yellow VW in 1971...I can remember the day I went to buy it. I love it! Till this day, I'd rather have a VW convertible than my BMW!!! Love them! I keep saying I'm gonna get one:)

Oh how exciting :) A road trip with your corgis and your sweetie - now life doesn't get much better. Do watch those ticks though..eww..ouchies. I am being bit now by mosquitoes and some early summer bugs..major itchies.

I am looking forward to reading and seeing your photos. It'll be so nice for you to see your grandbabies and catch up.

Drive safely.

Hugs
