Summing it Up...
Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Blue Moon on New Year's Eve...
According to the Farmer's Almanac:
December 31—Full Moon
The 31st brings a second full Moon this month—a so-called “blue Moon”—to adorn the final night of the year.
What is a "Blue Moon"?
When there are two full Moons in a single month, the second is often called a “blue Moon.” On average, a "blue Moon" occurs once every 2-1/2 to 3 years.
The expression seems to derive from the extremely rare, actually blue-tinged Moon caused by atmospheric layers of forest fire smoke or volcanic dust at just the right height and visual angle.
**On the news tonight, they said that the next New Year's Eve, Blue Moon, would occur in 2028. I figure that this will be the last one I'll see, so I plan to be out there, with the corgi kids, howling our heads off, totally sober!**

My mom was telling me about the Blue Moon just the other day. I do hope that it is a clear night so we can see if the moon is really blue! Howl! Woof! Woof!
Happy New Year!

You don't plan on being around for more than 3 years? Are your calculations correct?
This was fun & interesting... The moon is one of my very favorite things and I actually go out for each full moon and take a picture... Have a Very Happy Blue Moon New Year!!!

That's exciting. I'll be sure to look up at the sky tomorrow night.
Hi - I knew it was going to be a new moon - I didn't know it was going to be a blue one. I have a friend who is working tomorrow and she is a baby and mother nurse. She is expecting lots of babies to come. Think I'll look too.
Happy New Year.
