Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Computer Woes...

Well, our big daddy Dell is a sick puppy and is totally out of commission. I broke down and called the Geek Squad today, and they can't come until February 9th. Egad...let the withdrawl begin.

I finally remembered about the laptop, but hate using it because the air card is SO slow. But...it's virus free. No posts will be forthcoming, but I'll be checking in on you gals when possible. Emails will be to the same addy, and welcome if anyone feels like staying in touch.

Oh, I start work on Monday at our local library. The hours are great, and it's only four blocks from home. I'm extremely thankful to have landed the perfect job for this old broad at this stage in her life! I worked at one in another town for four years, so in a sense, it'll be like going home again...to the beloved land of books!

I suffered through 'puter illness recently and survived.

Congrats on the library job. Before teaching, when the girls were younger, I had a part time job at a tiny, rural town library. I loved it! The girls could come with me and hang out. Have fun!

But sorry about the Dell taking a nosedive into virusland...gosh, the Geek Squad (we call 'em the "Freak Squat" due to their inability to fix anything) is sure taking their time...BUMMER...

Well, after reading your good-news/bad-news post, I'm not sure how to react. Let me just say that it's great you'll have a paycheck to cover the cost of computer repairs. You'll also have your job as a distraction from "computer withdrawal". Hang in there, gal!

Congrats on the new job, it sounds like the perfect job for someone like you who loves to read and learn.
We won't even go there with the computer. Mine is finally (knock on wood) working ok now.
We don't have a Geek Squad, but like Penni says the ones in Jackson can't fix their way out of a paper bag.
Thank Heaven for the Computer Store, my Freel is one smart man.
Good luck
Molly

Librarian work is really fun, and sounds like you'll be getting paid for it. I'm our Church's Librarian but don't really get paid much... just a small monthly stipend, but I LOVE books so I don't mind. Congrats on the job...

And TOTAL BUMMER on the computer! Hope you are up and running soon... I did get a comment from you, so maybe by now you ARE up again... Linda

Y'all come back now...
