Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Mental Misfires....

Call me crazy, but lately, I'm thinkin', that the US of A would be much better off if D.C., would blow up, disappear, and all who held an office would be stripped of their fine lifestyle and insurance coverage, and we were all equal again, like way back when. I do realize, having a bit of college, and just plain natural smarts, he hee, that the world if full of the haves and the have nots. But, things are just going crazy....nutso....fast forwarding into a black hole of stupidness.
Ooops, maybe this week is hormonal surge week, but truly, does anyone else out there think we're in serious trouble here? I'm not bashing Obama...or the Republicans...I think they're all cuckoo! It's as if, we the American people, have thrown up our hands and said..."oh, whatever!" That isn't who we are....that is NOT our history! When, did we become so uninterested...so apathetic....so overwhelmingly, blase'?
Two nights of not sleeping well takes it toll on old women pushing fifty-nine.
It makes us think for God's sake.....and write entries into their blogs that are better left unwritten! Sigh...getting old sucks. Men are poopy. Knitting is hard to learn. Friends are wonderful. Holding a cup of hot tea early in the morning is so enjoyable. The shine of your grandchild's hair and eyes is breathtaking. The trill of birdsong is awesome, okay, it's irritatin' after too long a time, but still, it's pretty cool. And, the cuttlefish, what an amazing thing that lives on the sea floor!
Thank you PBS for Lawrence Welk reruns, and Nova.
OK, I'm outta here. I refuse to be held responsible for this post.
Somebody else did it.
Somebody short and furry...yeah, yeah, that's the ticket....a corgi did it!
Little buggers.

Love your post and your humor here. You are such a great writer.

But to be honest - I am very concerned for our country, where it is going, the future of our kids, their education . . . I pray every night for all of that.

Love,
sandie

Hey Corgidogmama!

It is crazy what they are doing in DC! They keep doing things where it leaves me saying "what are they thinking". It's both sides too like you said.

Maybe if all of the corgis were to take over the USA we would all be happy!?! hehehe

Hugs,
Angela

Right on Corgidogmama! It's a sad situation in DC. When he said "a change" I didn't imagine anything like this. The next election can't be soon enough.

Now I read that the Senate is voting on a bill that gives the president the authority to shut down the internet when he sees fit. He could keep it turned off for 4 months without congressional oversight. No single person deserves that kind of power. He would stop the opposition and a lot of businesses too. That is outrageous! Enough!!!

That Corgi wrote a great post! Sounds like many of us are feeling the way "your corgi" does. So frustrating. "Change" is not always a good thing. Lets get back to life the way it used to be.....when the PEOPLE were in control of their own lives and destinies.

Warning!!! Rabid corgi on the loose, writin' incendiary posts!!!

Good dog!

I truly hope a meteor hits Washington, obliterating all who hold office, no matter their party, and a bunch of lil' meteors come off the big meteor and hit most other office-holders too, especially those here in Texas, with a special fiery one landing on the local dog catcher.

Yes, we HAVE given up!!! Because we are exhausted from all the BS in Washington, all the struggling!!!

Your post has put heart in me. Going to go buy some more ammo now!

Yep. 'Twas a sad day for our system when politician became a career choice. Like, they did not have a prayer in hell of becoming rocket scientists so they decided to go into politics. IQ or common sense just does not enter into the equation. Personally, I think our dogs are more capable.

YOU ARE SOOOOOO FUNNY! You are also way wise! You said everything I've been thinking lately and hearing from so many others, too!

At least you have learned the secret to turning your mind back to the good things before you go totally crazy like it seems they are trying to drive us! The Corgis COULD do a better job!!!
