Summing it Up...
Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Mommy's in the doghouse...
This is not a photo of Addie today.
Today, she had her long awaited and dreaded dental work done.
They pulled a broken tooth, and cleaned her blackened teeth.
It was a long, long day for ol' Addie.
She's still dopey.
She's awfully mopey.
She's frightfully quiet, and occasionally whimpers.
Mommy is feeling very guilty, but is relieved to be this far.
Jake keeps staring at her, as if she's an alien.
The alien with vet smells all over her, and blood, most likely.
She's a mess.
Bathtime maybe tomorrow.
Tonight, we're going to be very, very, still....and she's plotting....
you can see it in her squinty little eyes....
and hear it in her shuddering sighs....
Mommy is dead meat!

She will feel so much better in one more day! She looks so much like Sissy, its amazing! Gotta love 'em! Sissy had a tooth removed too, and her breath was so nasty before the cleaning. Thank goodness Addie did not need Doggie Dentures....!!!
Uh oh, your Mommy better sleep with one eye open!
Licks,
Kylie
I hope she feels better tomorrow! Poor thing! I hope that my girls don't ever need to have that done.
Hugs,
Angela
Poor little girl!!! ...
My mother always "made it better" w/ a post-dental visit to Baskin-Robbins.
I'm thinking ... grovel! :)
Well no pain no gain. Poor baby she does not know how important it is for her. sandie
Oh, poor little Corgi....
We hope she'll feel soon better !
From Flo, Nana, and Uyanga, in Japan.
Poor baby! Mommy better not sleep tonight! Hope she's back to her usual self tomorrow after her bath!
I really hate taking them in for procedures like that. Makes me feel terrible. But she had to have it done, or the gums would have poisoned her health. Be strong because soon she will forget it and yet she will have better health because you were brave enough to put her through it.
I personally think vets ought to hand out tranquilizers -- to the OWNERS.
aw. what a sweet pic. it is for the best that she had that work done. I'm sure she'll feel better and be back to her better-than-ever self!
hugs, Cheryl
Poor Addie... and poor guilty feeling Mommie... I KNOW the feeling as you've seen from visiting Corgi Country! We do it for their own good, but not being able to explain makes US feel really bad. I'm so glad that they love us enough to forgive us... eventually... :(
Oh... before I forget AGAIN... I LOVE your matching Shirts with the pups on them in your sidebar!!!
It's me again - I just put up a post with video I found in my Corgi Rescue mailbox. I, too, am in denial of Sissy's new best friend - but thought you might like to see a happy ending for a Corgi that appears to be elderly. **hugs to you**
Feel better Sweet Addie..."Wolfy" is sending you big hugs and soft barks. He tells me also to tell you to take it easy and listen to your Momma!Cat
Sometimes it is hard to be the Mum, especially when you have to do the right thing even though it is hurtful. We will keep all of you in our prayers for quick healing!
Love, Dozer, Dottie and Cooper
Aw, poor little dog - so fortunate you look after her so well, though!
