Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

A lesson learned...

Thanksgiving is normally a day of excess. Excess in football, excess in grub. I was a bad corgidogmama. Little Addie ate way too much turkey. She upchucked and groaned all evening. She had the dry heaves. Finally, after several hours her belly emptied, she licked a rolaid, and all was quiet at the front.
The next day, Jim dug out the carpet cleaner machine that has been living in our cellar for ten years. Unused. Until Black Friday. The bedroom, and living room was a puked on zone, and had to be cleaned.
Jim groaned and needed a rolaid of his own after that ordeal.
I swear, on my two corgi kids heads, that I will never, ever, feed them human food to such excess again.
The problem was this. They had about a half cup of turkey/gravy when we had our meal. Oh...and then the dogs helped with the dishes.
Then....stupidly, I fed them their regular amount of chow at their normal supper time. BIG MISTAKE.
I was in a turkey induced coma. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

lol...it's not funny that the Corgi babies were sick, but you make me smile...lol..I was in a turkey induced coma also. ChiChi ate her fill and passed out in her bed. No upchucking thank goodness...Levi got the whole turkey carcuss and I do believe he is still knawing on it.

Poor, poor puppies! Poor, poor Jim! Those little begger eyes just get to you everytime. We survived the shopping trip....only lost Nana twice...and she outshopped us! It was fun.

Kind of funny but not for your fur buddies. Don't blame them though, turkey and gravy. Yum! Hope they're fine now!

Wow - way too much food for Corgis!!! If I give mine "people food", they get the runs or vomiting will begin! They love it, and they love any food - and they get only 1/2 cup food in the morning, and 1/2 cup at night. Any more, and they will get sick. AND - if they run around AFTER they eat - they get sick some more! Corgis are fun, and not so fun, and you know what I mean!

Oh my goodness ... what's going around?
We spent the day with DH's daughter and family' only on the way home did I remember Caraleigh was almost out of food. No matter, I'd soft scramble some eggs with turkey.
You guessed it, our rooms were similarly "annointed."
I'd never have thought of a Rolaids!
Hope your kids' tummies (and Jim's) are back in working order!

I swear...when Chelsea barfs, I want to barf, too. I recently switched her from Eukaneuba (sp?) to a smaller kibble by Science Diet. Seems she digests it a little easier. Is it just my Corgi kid or do all Corgi kids have touchy tummies?

Oh no! I've went through the same thing with a chihuahua I had years ago with Ham! I kept telling the outlaws to quit feeding her ham but they wouldn't listen. Need I say more! Wish it happened at their house! lol
