Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

'Tis Friday the 13th...

It's a windy, snowy day in northeast Indiana, and our high is currently at 19 degrees. I love Fridays, as each and every one of them is the beginning of my weekend. I'm blessed to work Monday through Thursdays, surrounded by books, and the friendly town folk of small town USA.
Our library is the hub of the town. You want action? Then head toward our library! To visit our site go here. Books have always turned me on, and I'm sure that most of you reading this silly little menopausal crazed blog are affected the same way by reading.

Here's a goodie that I'm currently reading; it's a blast back to your granny's era. It's full of sage wisdom, and common sense. The darn thing makes you laugh out loud. How to Sew a Button and other nifty things your grandmother knew by Erin Bried.A money-saving, heartwarming, life-simplifying guide. Man, it's a hoot!

Hey Corgidogmama! It's warmed up to 25 degrees here! lol It was 51 yesterday with rain, thunder and lightening and even snow! Today we have snow and it's snowing now. Brrr it's cold outside! Glad you get to have long weekends every week! That makes it better I think. The kids are off from school here for a scheduled out or they would have been out because of the weather and have to make it up later. Got lucky there! I'm not much of a reader but your book sounds very interesting.

Stay Warm!

That must be the perfect job, surrounded by books and in a small town on top of it. I love the small town spirit, although they all do know your business. Have a good weekend.

Like you, I looked forward to the weekends until I retired. Then it totally changed. All the people who work during the week get out and do their shopping and errands on the weekends. The stores, etc are really crowded and we retirees can hole up on the weekends. Then after the morning rush hour on Monday, we can get out and do our stuff. So, I look forward to Mondays!

I don't work and I still look forward to the weekend. There is just something great about Fridays.

Well here in HotAtlanta it was cold - no snow - but it is cold.

Your job seems very interesting and one that you really love a lot.

Love, sandie

Treasuring the long weekend. I worked in the public library in high school and two college libraries. Some of the best hours of employment I knew.
The book sounds great. I can sew a button -- thanks, Mom! -- but there are lots of skills I'm sadly lacking.

17 degrees here in Bloomington! You know what I would LOVE to do? Just pop into your library some day and say "I'M HERE!" :-) I'm loving the look of your blog. Love your little logo..."smart women read between the lines!" Ain't it the truth? As I write, there is a chicken knocking at the door. (Pecking.) It drives Chelsea crazy! You seem to have the perfect life...surrounded as you are by books! xo, Cheryl

Hey, hang onto that one for me, 'kay? Sounds like a good one! I left the driveway today for the first time since Thursday afternoon. Sigh. I hate winter.

'Nuther Friday, 'nuther round. We have drifts two feet deep across the drive and in front of the barn. Sigh.

Y'all come back now...
