Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

Vintage Thingie Thursday...

Can you believe how HIGH these CD interest rates were in 1980?
Holy moley, have we ever gone downhill since then! We're barely getting a half-point these days on our savings.Let's just hope that "Happy Days" will come visit us again before the decade runs out.
To see more vintage items, of much more interest than this entry, please stop by ColoradoLady's site.

That's neat that you still have that newspaper. I bet my dad has some in "the basement." In the 80s I was in hs, saving $ to go to college. My parents would match my $ every time I saved 500.00. I remember opening a CD w/ $2,000.00 at 18% interest!!!! I think that was in 1982.

Oh. My. Can you imagine....my husband would drive himself crazy at the reminder of this....I don't think I will tell him. Fun to see in print again...even if it is a fond memory. Have a great week!

Hopefully. when things are this far down - there is only one way to go - UP! (Hopefully).

Love your Smashbox (?) picture box. Love you with your granddaughter - you look so incredibly happy!

A child's love is just free . . . no strings attached.

That would be nice but we shall see. Interesting what tidbits I could pick up if I unwrapped some things that are stored with (now) old newspapers.

Love the little graphic button...asking do you need to write everything down? Lol....
Yep I have to write everything down...and LOL...the biggest challenge is remembering where I put the list, or remembering DUH to take it to the store with me....
So my Dear Susan...if I should call you later......

TOLIET PAPER (this will be an emergency soon)
Stamps

Thank you stopping by my blog... bangers and mash is a fabulous meal!

The snow we recently expereinced in the UK was the worst hit in about 10+ years and the fact that it ground everywhere to a standstill was much talked about!!

Good morning!

'Just stumbled on your site (via Hootin' Anni's place)... largely on account of your "Corgi" title .. and I'm SO glad to have discovered it! In fact, when your music came up I had to do a mental double-take: Hubby was just playing 'Moonlight in Vermont" on his keyboards not 5 minutes ago!

Gotta go fix breakfast now .. but I'll be back!

Have a wonderfully-blessed day!
