Summing it Up...

Now, that I'm way on the wrong side of sixty, I feel that being true to self is important. "I yam, what I yam." Kindness and smiles are to be given away. Women are strong. Men are more vulnerable than we believe. Husbands may come and go...but one thing I know for sure is that I will NEVAH live without a corgi or coffee in my life if I can prevent it. Come piles of dog fur or hot water!

TGIF

I woke up early and began the process of washing windows and taking down screens by 6:30 a.m. This is my day off, the one day I don't set the alarm. Sheesh!

Coffee deprived, these thoughts popped into my head.....
Watched toast does not pop.....a cup of tea is more than a hot beverage......vinegar really does work on windows.....one should consume at least four Hershey kisses a day.

Have a great weekend. We got our first snow yesterday. Flurries but enough to cover decks and rooftops. It's too early for this nonsense!

You're doing windows with snow on the ground? Are you mad, woman? My rule is that once the snow flies, it can wait until spring.

You haven't grasped the concept of day off. It should mean a warm drink, a hot fire, and a good book.

Well I know you have to do what you can do when you have time - but don't forget to take some time for you.

I spent the morning on windows, too, and it does look nice. We had the day off from work and it was the best day to have the window repair man here. Not much of a leisurely day, but so glad to get that chore done.

Ouch~ I was feeling a guilt-trip coming on ... then had another cup of coffee and remembered, there is no guilt in blog-land. Matter of fact, Mother Nature's washing my windows as we speak :)

We had our first snow too, probably the same day as you had, Susan! Been so busy with work, I have hardly time to do much else! I did finally get one giant Jesus statue restored and delivered to the owner on Saturday this week - and one more big Jesus on the cross to get done (I've only had that one for a year...). So much to do, so little time, with the part time job that takes over FULL TIME.....! How's Jim doing?

First snow! wow! Chatty Crone sent me over w/ her mention today :-) I was just blogging the other day about how my entire life, I've wanted a corgi. It will be a few years yet, but when the boys are older, maybe the time will be right.
